The Case
JoJo Putty runs a podcast for anyone who thinks their new partner might be hiding something. She interrogates the partner, pulls their story apart on tape, and tells her listener whether to stay or run. She is rarely wrong. The red flags are almost always there if you know where to look.
JoJo knows where to look because the last man her mother dated is doing twenty years.
Violet is out now. She moved back in three weeks ago, and the relationship is exactly as warm as you would expect from a daughter who testified. Between the case of the week and the mother in the spare room, JoJo is running an investigation she keeps telling herself is about everyone else.
